This website will store your password as a SHA256 hash, which, in the case of any database leak, is obviously stronger than plaintext or some other hashing algorithms... but it is only one defense tactic that should be accompanied by many others. HTTPS should also be in place, but you as the end-user should check in the address bar of your web browser if it is present and can be trusted.
And of course, your own endpoint for security should be a strong password, and one that you have not used elsewhere. Synchronized passwords are the bane of all end-users.
